Oh Help.

I'm teaching on Wednesday.

A whole class.

By myself.

It's my job to teach chapter 9 on Hearing and Auditory processes. Processes I know nothing about!

I've never held anyone's attention for an hour and a half!

I walked into Sensation and Perception this afternoon to help administer an exam and the instructor I work for says to me, "You're ok to teach this Wednesday instead of on Monday right?" Me, "I'm teaching?" Her, "Ok thanks! I'm sorry I got the dates wrong but I'm glad you'll do it on such short notice!" Me, "?"

And the next thing I know I have a book chapter and supplement and 72 slides to make sense of. Enough to where if someone asks me what does that mean I have something intelligent and correct to tell them.

I love the whole Christmas season. I love hearing the same songs again and again. Drinking hot chocolate, red, green, silver, bells, pie, presents, Frosty, all of the things. I especially love holiday movies; they play constantly in my kitchen while I bake batch after batch of cookies, cheesecakes, and booze. I've Got a Crush on Confession Tuesday.

Is there anything better than having a crush on someone? I submit to you, there is not. It's exciting and terrifying all at the same time. I love having a crush on someone. Which is probably why I do it all the time. I do. I crush on people for long periods of time, for a few minutes at a time, my friends, complete strangers I see in the mall... life is one big crush over here. What I've learned, is that there are lots of different kinds of crushes you can have. And we all remember our very first crush, but of different kinds? Day 6: "It Tastes Like Coconut"

I'm trying to remember what happened today. I am exhausted. I went on the Circle Line Cruise around the harbor and then to the American Museum of Natural History which I LOVEd!!! I got up late this morning because all of this is starting to catch up with me. But I had timed it out last night that I would still make it to the train and the Pier on time. Except that yesterday the sky looked a little overcast and I was going to be on a boat so I didn't want to get cold in case it rained or was windy so I brought a sweater with me. Which was a good idea; what wasn't a good idea was recycling. You can drink the tap water here which is AMAZING!!! So I've just been refilling my water bottle and toting it around with me. And yesterday it emptied into Monica's purse, that I've been borrowing, and into my sweater which soaked it up like a sponge.
